How to get candle wax out of a carpet?
Question:
Answers:
This is gonna sound funny.but it works!
Ya lay a single layer of paper-towels over the wax then hold the edges down and use your blow dryer (on hot) on it. Don't rub.just let the towels soak it up.
Change paper-towels as needed.
The heat from the dryer melts the wax and the paper-towel draws it up from the carpet.
(I would not use an iron...you risk melting your carpet! Hair dryer does not get hot enough to melt rug...just wax).
Good Luck! :)
Heat up your iron, NOT hot, just warm. Now get your roll of paper towel, take one sheet and fold it, lay it on top of the wax, and put the iron on the towel, remove and you will see the wax on the towel, keep doing this, until all wax is gone. changing the paper towel often. After you are finished it you have to clean the spot, use a squirt of dawn or whatever dish washing detergent you use, mixed with a little water. use paper towel to blot the area.
Get a brown paper bag and set your iron to "wool" or delicate" and then place the paper bag over the wax. Then iron
The brown paper bag will absorb the wax as the iron melts it. Its best to do this step a few times, just to make sure you get all of the waxc off.
Good lcuk!
an old white towel damp with water and an iron on a low heat setting. the wax transfers better to cloth than paper.rinse with water. you may need to remove any residue with an oil based solvent. then you need to rinse again.
I agree with Iron but you can also use this:
Need a Wet Extractor or Wet Vac; Hot Water, Citrus Solvent
Put Citrus Solvent on Wax, Spray Hot Water On it, Let it sit there for a while; Scrub it gently and Gone. Just make sure you extract it well as citrus burns the fibers.
