The tag says "do not wash or dry clean"?
Question:i ordered a cap and gown for graduation and it says not to wash it, what happens to it when i wash it. should i wash it anyway? it is 100% polyester.

Hi -- Those caps and gowns are often practically disposable. The manufacturer is probably afraid it will fall apart if you wash it, and it might! It would likely shred. If you need to clean it, I'd suggest using a wet washcloth and just spot-clean it. Congratulation on your graduation !

There is no need to wash it if you are only wearing it for one occasion. Wear it with pride and then dispose of it.
DO NOT WASH THEY ARE DISPOSABLE, TRY CATCHING SOME WATER WITH DETERGENT IN THE SINK, AND GETTING A LINT FREE WASHCLOTH AND WIPE IT . IF YOU HAVE STAINS, JUST SPRAY WITH SHOUT, THEN WIPE, HANG TO DRY, OF AIR OUT
