Can you cover a cigarette burn on a suede couch?
Question:My friend just bought a new couch and the other day she noticed someone had left a noticeable cigarette burn on one of the seats of it. It burned a hole completely through the suede. Is there some way she can miraculously patch it up or something?
Answers:
you may sew a small accurate patch.
Dont leave a cigarette there anymore!!
Even cheap ones which could be obtained at www.cigarettes-smoke.net
try a patch from target or walmart if that dose'nt wor lay a throw down! Sorry!
The best thing to do (I'm sure you know) is to take it back to where it was purchased and see if they will replace that cushion or piece of the couch or give a partial refund. (so sad when you fall in love with something and then it turns out not to be quite as wonderful as you had thought). But, assuming the afore mentioned is not possible, I would recommend a fabric marker (pen). They make markers that come in different shades of browns and blacks that you can color in a small area with. Usually you can match the color pretty near perfectly and then it won't be nearly as noticeable as a patch. They also make these markers for wood surfaces so search for this product near wood working tools and supplies at a craft/hobby store. Good Luck!
