Would you pay to have your blinds cleaned?
Question:I'm considering setting up a blind cleaning company that uses ultrasound to leave your blinds as good as new...how much would you pay to have your blinds cleaned and do you think this will take off considering how costly it would be to replace them

It's a very unique idea for a business. I would hire you to clean my blinds, in a heartbeat. I wish you a lot of success if you go through with your plans. Some people pay a mint on blinds & getting a pro cleaning job would save them from having to replace them. Good luck!!
It really depends on the area you plan on marketing this business. If it is a high class area that pays to get their lawn cut, carpets cleaned, etc. then they probably will pay more for their blinds and maybe too busy to clean them themselves. I also have heard that many people are starting to turn back to curtains because of difficulty of cleaning the blinds so if you can get it up and going before people make the change then you may do well. I wouldn't pay to have mine done, but my blinds are less than $10 bucks each so it would cost less probably for me to just replace them. Good luck with it.
I just run a tub of hot water and dish soap and soak the dirt off the blinds then rinse and hang to dry...too easy

NEVER, THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN BLINDS IS RUN A TUB OF HOT WATER, ADD BLEACH, AND SPRINKLE BAKING SODA LET THEM SOAK, THEN STAND THEM UP LONGWAYS AND WHEN THERE DRY ENOUGH TO TAKE OUTSIDE, RINSE THEM OFF WITH THE HOSE AND LET THEM DRY, GOOD AS NEW!!!
Yes, I would have the cleaning company do it. Just make sure you're not paying more than it would cost you to get new ones.

Ultrasonic blind cleaners typically charge 7-15% of the replacement costs of a CUSTOM blind for cleaning. If you have a suitable market and solid business plan you may do fine. Some cleaners charge by the square foot while others charge by the width of the headrail. Prices vary with type of blind.
To clean window blinds all we have to do is take them down, and put them in the bathtub with warm, soapy water, gently wash them with a soft brush, wipe, and rinse, hang them up outside on the porch banister, or a clothesline to dry. and tada, they are nice and clean!!
