How do you wash salt water taffy out of clothing?? is it even possible??
Question:i put a few pieces of salt water taffy in my racing jacket pocket and went for a ride and the hot sun melted it!! my jacket is made out of like a thick mesh material and it was quite expensive...any way to get it out?

pour very hot-almost boiling water through the mesh and over the taffy till it all dissolves and rinses away. pour slowly and you may want to rest the jacket on some clean screening for support. be careful of the steam! it can burn you badly! -a spouted teakettle would be easiest to manage.
you could try putting your jacket in a freezer first, so that the majority of the candy would chip off, then do the hot water treatment. alternatively, try a soak in hot water.

its just sugar. i would imagine just soaking it for awhile in warm water and detergent should dissolve it.
Salt water taffy is just sugar, not like gum. It should just wash or dry clean out, however you clean the jacket.
well they say to remove gum put the item in the freezer try that it might work leave it in the freezer till its frozen then you should be able to revove it easily good luck
Goo-gone will remove it.
