Best way to remove mastic/sealant from around bath/kitchen sink?

Question:

Answers:
i used a scraper on the bath last week - it took ages but all came off eventually then heard you can buy a tool specially to do it - think it might have been screwfix or b&q

Hard work I'm afraid and a lot of peeling - use a knife to break the main seal and peel it off -
I used a screwdriver on the end of the sealent and then once you gently lever an inch or so, you can just pull it off in a long strip. Sounds funny but it reall worked!
Pull off any big bits, strip the rest with a stripping knife or something similar, get rid of the residue with methylated spirits. But it's not easy.
I just finished doing around my bath, I used a fine edged screw driver . Once you get the first bit off the rest will come off easy.
You will need a stanley knife and a fine scraper!
