My tea pot looks like toilets, how can I clean it without vinegar?
Question:
Answers:
Personally, I wouldn't clean it out, seems to add to the flavour! However, if you must, use a Steradent tablet (the thing you use for dentures), which won't leave any after taste.
soda crystals
a brillo pad and some elbow grease should do the trick
get a new one my son
Dish washer soap ? Or why not a tinner ? lol.
Use bleach in water and let it sit, then wash thoroughly. Works for toilets too.
like many teapots, you cant get your hand in , fill it up to past the stains with hot water and add a bit of bleach, the bleach takes away the stains without rubbing, and bleach smell will disappear after a few rinses.
Bicarbonate of soda and leave for an hour or so. However some people think a stained tea pot makes the tea taste better.
Denture cleaning tablets ( Stearadent )
Tell you what I do I fill the pot with water and then put a clothes washing tablet in the teapot put the lid on and stand it in the bowl in the sink overnight. In the morning empty and give a good rinse, with boiling water if you like. The brown tea stains should have gone. I occasionally put the tea pot in the dishwasher if not too stained. The reason is I am lazy and do not empty the teapot as soon as I am finished . I tend to leave the cold teabags in the pot for hours and this is where the nasty staining occurs.
Leave it to soak in washing soda solution for about a day then wash it - all the staining should just disappear.
Put it in a warm soak of biological washing powder. It will help lift of stains and grease and get in those awkward corners.
use the tablets people use to clean false teeth, can`t remember the name, a chemist would know.
dissolve biological washing powder in the tea pot and leave for a few hours then rinse well - all the tea stains should then come off easily.
I remove tea stains with 20 Mule Team borax: it will not scratch the glassware and rinses away very well. Also use this method for coffee stains in cups and mineral residue on glassware.
