It may be hard water deposits, get some CRL cleaner, it cleans all kinds of build ups off, put it on and let it soak 15 min before rinsing, that Ka-BOOM stuff works also.

Try some Lime-away for tough water stain removal.
Try scrubbing with vinegar.
hard wayer deposits. try water softner (laundry section) or a good soak with vinegar-it's a tough one! use a squeegee every day to keep clean
I will tell you something that works like a charm for this, however your bathroom needs to be really well ventilated to use it. Clorox Clean Up spray works wonders, just make sure the area is ventilated well and you use latex gloves.
The house that we were renting out had terrible soap scum/ calcium on the shower doors when the renters left. We used an SOS pad, gently scrubbing in circles and then rinsing off with water. It took a lonnnnnnng time but it did the trick.
Use a sheet of Bounce.
If there is a Dollar General close to your house, buy the Mean Green Mildew and Stain Remover. It works like a charm and its cheap. You will have to spray it on and let it set for a few minutes then scrub it off.
use lemon oil.
try a Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean.they work great for that shower door "film".
Almost none of these will help. I tried CLR, Lime-Away, Bleach, Clorox Clean Up, baby oil, lemon oil, olive oil (seriously), dryer sheets, Mean Green, Mr. Clean magic eraser, Easy Off Fume-Free oven cleaner, sos pads, and a whole stream of pther products on that baby. Trust me, I spent almost a week on removing that film from my shower door before leaving a rental place. Ultimately, what worked *best* (but still did not give me the results I ultimately wanted (a clear, see-through door, like brand new)) was the sos pad and the oven cleaner. Finish up with some lemon oil or baby oil (lemon smells better). Be sure to rinse thoroughly if you are going to try more than one product. Also, be very careful about not scratching the surface.
Use household acids.
Or try scrubbing with sand paper.
I've had good luck with Kaboom. If they are glass doors and not the plastic composite use Fuller Brush's Dissolve. Both of these products are the best I have found for the same problems you have.
