What can I use to clean my toilet bowl, so it gets rid of the ring where the water sits?

Question:

Answers:
I'm assuming the ring is hardwater deposit??

If Lime Away or Whink's Lime Buster doesn't work (you can't have water sitting in the bowl, turn off the water underneath and then use a plunger to push the water away from the ring), then try it with a metal mesh .... it's flat.sold in cleaning supplies in most stores. If that doesn't work then you need a pumice stone.to scrape the ring off.

Realize the pumice can actually scratch the finish off the porcelain after awhile...which isn't noticeable until you use a wrong cleaner in the future with a lot of blue dye in it..then suddenly you have a blue ring around the toilet (obviously has happened to me) and that doesn't come out.

If the line is rust, then any of the rust removers should work...Whink Rust Remover for example.

I assume you have a rust-ring where the toilet water level sits?

What i have done in the past is this: 1st, i add bleach to the water and let it sit overnight. I scrub, and if that doesnt work i add CLR. If that doesnt work, then the procelain is stained and its really impossible to get out. My bathtub has the same issue with the procelain being stained and is impossible to get out.

Good luck!
Good ol' bleach should do the trick, if you want to get fancy you can buy something like Soft Scrub, Scrubbing Bubbles etc- they all pretty much work the same.
I USE LYSOL TOLIET BOWL CLEANER WITH BLEACH IT WORKS PRETTY GOOD. BUT IF THE RING IS BAD YOU MAY NEED TO USE THE WORKS TOLIET BOWL CLEANER
Your question cracks me up! I am always frowning at the toilet bowl. There are two things you can do:

Purchase a pumice stone at the grocery or hardware store and use it to rub off the hard water build-up. It's about as fun as running your fingernails across a chalk board.

Easier way is to turn off the water to the tank, flush the toilet until the bowl is empty. Stuff wet wash cloths in the bottom to block up the hole. Add straight vinegar and let it soak for a half-day or so. The deposits will all disappear or wipe off. Buy the gallon bottles of vinegar...doesn't matter if it's white or apple cider vinegar.

Might as well throw those trays that sit under your plants in with the mix and get those clean while you're at it!

Now if this was a TV commercial, they would warn you to be sure not to drink the water or get it in your eyes and then they would tell you to pull out the wash rags, turn the water back on and flush the toilet before using.

I'll even send it straight to your house, and you can try it. It is good! The product flier is very informative.
Kitchen cleanser- Ajax or Comet. Sprinkle, let sit, then use a toilet brush to scrub, then flush. If that does'nt work, the CRL for rust spots will definitely do it.
Pour a can of coca cola in the bowl and let it sit overnight. It'll be clean the next morning. Do not use diet coke, it will not work
I get a ring around my toilet at the water line from hard water. I use a pumice stone (available in the beauty area of your Walmart/ KMart/ Target etc. or in a home improvement store. I also am known to pour a half used (but now flat) bottle of soda into the toilet rather than just pouring it down the drain. The acid in the water dissolves the hard water ring. Vinegar will also do this, or one of the products like Lime Away.

Hope this helps.

If this is pertaining to rust, I use Iron Out. It works great. The odor is a bit strong but it definitely gets rid of rust.
It all depends on what makes the ring, your water, etc. However, I have had good luck in the past with ammonia.
"Barkeepers friend". Works like a charm!
The Works cleaner is excellent for cleaning rust from anything
if you clean your toilet bowl eveyday (everyone should) you will never get that ring, but, if you don't have the time then use lysol toilet bowl cleaner with bleach - it comes 2in a pkg. place it in your tank - it also helps rid of that funky smell from 2's
the only one i will use is sno bowl
