Breaking in new bed sheets?

Question:What's the quickest and easiest way to break in low thread count sheets? I just bought some and they are very stiff. Have any suggestions?

Answers:
wash them and add fabric softener to the rinse.....dry as usual .They probably contain starch.

Wash twice in warm, use fabric softener or dryer sheets.
Wash them.
Take them back and get a nice high count set... They last longer and take less time to "break in" I got a set of 1000 thread count for around $70 ! Definetly worth the invest. You can get a nice set of 400/500 thread count for $40. Check out Marshall's/TjMaxx
You can wash them 'til the cows come home and it's doubtful they'll soften up much. Low thread count sheets are what they are. Good fabric softener will help a little, but they are still going to be stiff and rough. Better to invest in a little higher quality sheet.
put some fabric softner ina bottle and dilute it a little with water ( those spray bottle like an empty windex bottle works well) spray it all down it will smell great and be softer
