What should I use to clean collector's tins?

Question:Collectable Tins. Surely water would make them rusty, right?

what should i use instead to keep them scratch free, and keep them in top condition??

Answers:
I've collected a lot of tins over the years and have always washed mine in hot soapy water, rinsed in the hottest water I could stand, then dried them with a good absorbent towel. I leave the lids off or open for several hours to insure that they are completely dry. I've yet to have one rust cleaning them this way and they still look like brand new.

just use a damp cloth (water) make sure you dry your tin off when you finished cleaning it
