How to properly wash plastic dishes?

Question:I usually wash my dishes by hand...that is not use the dishwasher. And i m noticing that many of the plastic plates , bowls and boxes have some residues clinging to them which is hard to remove . How do i get rid of those. I use a scrub and dawn liquid for washing.

Answers:
Dawn is a great cleaner all on it's own. If you should add some degreaser to your HOT soap water it will give it that extra kick. You can find it at any Wal-Mart or hardware store.

you can add a little clorox to the water. spahgetti sauce is the worst.
there is a cleaner I found at wal-mart, sorry can't remember the name, its it used for hard to clean plastics.

I like to let mine soak a bit in warm soapy water.
I wash them in the sink with hot water. I use dawn so the grease comes off easy.
It sounds like you have hard water and that's what is causing it. You might need a water conditioner to eliminate it. Do you see it in your laundry, tubs and toilets? Is you skin itchy and dry?
