I had a vacuum that used bags in it and I owned it for at least five years. While hubby was in Iraq I was cleaning it and took the cover off of the vac ***. The bag just exploded and I got mad. Dust and dirt all over my kitchen. I got even madder looking at the mess so I took it out on the vac ***. I won and I bought a vac *** that is bagless. I love it.
I still own and use the same vaccum cleaner thats over 20 years old and its been running better then the ones they make today.
watch what you pickup from the carpet or floor, no metals or large objects.
do regular matience maybe once a month (depending how much you vaccum) replacing belts when needed, cleaning the brush, removing debrees from the roller and wheels
and change the bag when needed,
you can use the same vaccumm for years to come.
