my friend owns a dry cleaning business and he always tells me if i have a stain to soak in super strong hold hairspray and every time i do it works, i've had spaghetti stains, blood, grape juice, beet juice and hairspray works everytime.

Fresh stains are easier to remove than old ones.
so avoid machine drying or ironing until you've exhausted all stain removal efforts.
Try washing with oxidized detergent, go for a liquid detergent instead of power
Laundry tests show using bleach for stain removal produces the best results. So use bleaching
For New Clothes always dip in a slated luck warm water (put 2/3 tea spoons in a bucket of water) instead of normal water / boiled water. so that the cloth will not fade.

What type of stains are they? Grease and oil stains may be removed by light petrol spotting, almost all other stains are removed by the presetnly available detergents like Ariel or Surf - on spot application and brushing.
