Here's an easy one to clean them and to keep them from getting too dirty again. Apply a paste made out of dishwasher detergent and hot water to the shoes. Allow them to soak for about a half hour then scrub them with a nail brush and rinse well. You can also throw them in the washing machine with some towels. Dry them in the sun, not the dryer because they can shrink and pull away from the rubber. Now to keep them from getting yucky again and so that they wash up easier, put several coats of spray starch on them, the kind used for ironing. Allow them to dry completely.
fill a sink half way up with water and add a couple of capfulls of bleach. you can just put the flip flops in there, and scrub them as for the sneakers dip a wash cloth or sponge in that water and wipe or scrub with cloth I wouldn't soak the sneakers.
I wash my sneakers in the washing machine using bleach.Wash as you would any other load of wash.If you have to wear then in a few hours either put your shoes in the dryer after machine washing.
Throw the sneakers in the washing machine with a white towel or 2 (just to act as a cushion).
Wash them on gentle cycle with detergent and about 1/8 cup of bleach (small amount!)
When they're done, you can put them in the dryer for a bit -- along w/t he towels for cushioning.
If the flip flops are rubber - just wash w/detergent -- fantastic, Lysol, Mr Clean, etc.
You don't ever want to dunk anything into solid bleach. It's much too strong. ALWAYS DILUTE. And a little goes a long way. 1/8 - 1/4 cup per gallon is usually plenty for anything.
Get going if you want them to be ready in a few hours.
Good luck!!
Put them in the dishwasher to clean.
I wash my sneakers in the washer with warm water, a little bit of detergent, gentle cycle, and 1/2 cup bleach. The washer needs to be full enough so that the shoes move freely. Don't dunk shoes in pure bleach; they will dissolve, though not immediately. Be aware that bleach may discolor some fabrics yellowish, but if your shoes are ruined right now you don't have much to lose.
put them both in a pillow case and put in the washing machine. make sure there are a few towels in the machine so you dont break it.
Use comet on your flip flops. It works sooo good. Just put a lil on a brush and start scrubbin'. For your tennis shoes, use white tooth paste. It really works. Just think about it, we use it to get our teeth white, right?
haha so been there. but never wear white to a track! and if u wear sandals there just wear black. i have this awesome shoe cleaner i got from the mall and that always gets the dirt off! haha bleack it wouldnt hurt to try!
