try a product called oops, or a magic eraser should work also
Take a warm iron, place folded paper towel on top of the wax and iron, change the paper as you iron, and it will remove all the wax.

put a soft linen choth over the wax spill-then apply a medium hot iron on the linen --the wax should be sucked up into the linen cloth.
Place an ink blotter or other absorbent paper over the wax residue and iron it. The heat from the iron will melt the wax and the blotter will absorb or soak up the liquefied wax.
Got a hair blow-dryer? Turn it on your highest setting and blow it over the left-over candle residue. Then blot with a paper towel or soft cloth. Repeat as necessary. Worked for me!
