How do I get rid of Mold in my bathroom?

I agree with the air circulation. Your bathroom needs ventilation so the moisture can escape. I grew up in Texas and later Guam. Guam is so humid that ventilation doesn't mean squat. I actually thought the walls in my bathroom were supposed to be black when I moved in! I found out my roomate NEVER cleaned it. GROSS! It was all mold. So I bought Tilex mildew remover and went into the bathroom to spray the hell out of the walls. I left the room for a day and then went back and sprayed all the spots I missed. It took three days to de-mold the place. After that, I would just give any mold a little spritz of the tilex as soon as I caught it growing. No scrubbing necessary. Just don't breathe that crap in.

Mold is representative of moist bacterial growth. Somehow your bathroom stays moist where the mold grows and the bacteria/filth is growing under that trapped moisture. This can be from surface contamination and filth or from subsurface problems under caulking that is leaching drywall moisture problems from poor watersealing or a pipe leaking in the wall either in the bathroom or from outside bleeding through.
I would try various non abrasive cleansers including various mild detergent mixes with bleach and vinegars first.
If it is in your caulking or molding, I would remove the caulking and or molding with a putty knife or razor blade knife and clean and dry behind those areas as much as possible with air and 99% alchohol to suck out moisture and kill bacterial. Then I would replace the caulk and or molding with new material.
You may need to think about aerating your bathroom more in the future with either a window or ventilator and or an energy consuming dehumidifier in the future to fend off this problem if the moisture problem just can't be beat.
I dont have a window or fan in my bathroom, so I get mold on my walls, not alot, but some. I use in a spray bottle, half water, half bleach and spray the mold, it disappears. Dont wipe it, as if you have colored paint, it will bleach the paint, found that out the hard way! Also, any kind of airing out is very beneficial. I wish I could! Good Luck!
If you don't have a window in your bathroom, try showering with your door open so the moisture can escape. That will help the mold problem.. Bleach works for mold just wear old clothes when cleaning the bathroom. good luck
