I bought a used leather purse that I really love, but it has a tobacco odor in it.?
Question:How can I remove the tobacco odor?
Answers:
Not sure the spelling but Febreeze works great on all nasty odors without causing a new odor.
Try putting an open container of baking soda in the purse and closing it up. Leave for a few days. This is cheap and may work. You could also put crumpled newspaper in it. You could open it up and leave it on your deck or porch for a day or so. Good Luck.
Use a baking soda container that is open or vented (for refrigerators). Put it in your purse for a couple of days make sure that you close it up.
Then by a sachet of lavendar and put it in the bottom of your purse before you put anything else in it.
put a couple of dryer fabric softener sheets in it
You need a place that is level and where it will not be disturbed.
A bowl that will fit in the purse and that will stay level.
and vinegar.
Place a bowl of vinegar in the purse and close it. Leave it for a couple days. Then carefully open the purse. The odor should be gone.
Take a wet rag and put some vinegar on it,then litely wipe the inside with it,then let air dry.Do not saturate it.Wipe again if still smelly.I put all my things in front of a fan to dry them..
you absolutely do not use bleach (of course)
you can put a permanet airfreshner in it
febreeze and place a bounty cling sheet inside
why not use baking soda like armour all,use the whole box dumped inside let soaked in the powder for a week to month
