Answers:
relax, if they are there, they will not go down the drain. Just wait until the cycle stops, and check for them. they will dry nicely, and be good as new
Be very careful - you might be guilty of money-laundering.
You have top have proof that they were in there. The Treasury Dept. has rules on what is required for proof, such as at least four corners of the bill. Check with them and see what else is required.
If you can't come up with what they need, chalk this sad experience up to bad luck, and learn from it.
If you cn't find them in the tub itself or in the pockets itself.FeeI around under agitator. If you feel confident enough you can take washer apart to see if it is still in it somewhere.I have found lots of money in washers that I have gotten and taken apart to fix or get spare parts off of.However sometimes money just goes right through not to get it back this is steps for a whirlpool or kenmore. Most are same.
1.take two phillip screws out of top on each side and flip top up and back
2.unplug little clip on harnes of wires
3 take flattip screwdriver and pop out little brass clips holding back on each side then let back go back
4At this point you should be ble to lift lid and grab edge and slide out whole front shell of washer
5 look around plastice tub surrounding inside tub money sometimes gets in there if not go to bottom and may be in pump this is at bottom behind motor .
6 may just be gone too so depends on how much money it was on what you want to do to see if there is a chance of getting it back.
I normally find change in washers only occasionally bills go that far.I have also thrown pants in washer with money and has been in there. When done if you don't find it check under agitator with fingers most likely place

Search through everything tha was in the washer, search the washer itself, take the agitator out and look beneath it. If you don't find it all, be sure to check the dryer when your clothes finish drying.
I washed $280.00 one time and found every bit of it, but I was freaking out! That was a weeks pay in 1980!
Ah ha !
Another case of money laundering !
Actually I did that a few weeks ago and the money came out nice and clean.
No need to worry.
