My dishwasher is not getting my dishes clean. I have checked the trap in the door.?
Question:Is there another trap and if so where is it? Also, is there something I can use to get them cleaner? Thanks a lot.

Empty every thing out of your dishwasher and pour in a large bottle of vinegar and let it sit for at least one hour and then put it through a hot wash with no soap. and this should solve your problem. I know it did for me. You should do this about once a month.

maybe you need a new dishwasher...if it's a cheap one, they don't work well or very long...
if it has a disposer built in, you might check that. Or to see if all the arms are moving...if the temp is correct...dishwashers need to be cleaned too...they make cleaner for that and it really does work...(laundry/kitchen isle)
Are you sure your washing off the dishes well enough before your putting them in the dish washer? Also check to see if the water vaulve is nice and tight.
First I recommend that you contact the manufacturer. Then check to see just how hot the water is being pumped into your dishwasher. There is usually a drain in the bottom of the dishwasher that can get clogged with old food stuffs that will make mess on clean dishes. Exploring the bottom drain requires you take out all the shelves. Also you can add rinse aides and if you do not have a compartment for such, there is a dispenser basket you can buy that is attached to a post in the dishwasher. Another suggestion is to switch the brands of detergent you are using. Try powder if you are using liquid and vise versa. You could also have hard water that makes the detergent not be able to clean properly. If you are renting, call maintenance-landlord before you do anything. Good luck!
Try a different dishwashing detergent and don't forget to fill the rinsing agent resevoir.Maybe a different setting is required?Also,most dishwashers are plumbed into the existing hot water line that supplies the kitchen faucet.Run the kitchen faucet until the water is warm.This gives the dishwasher almost instant warm water to help clean your dishes.Make sure you are not over-loading the dishwasher.This may block the movement of the arms inside.
try using some vinegar to clean out your dishwasher.
but put in in a rinse cycle. where the jet dry goes. see what happens. if not time for a new dishwasher.
