How do you remove pen ink?

Question:

Answers:
For clothing, try hairspray. I had an ink accident with my white cotton shirt and the hairspray trick was successful in removing the stain. Read the article below, it provides a step-by-step procedure in removing the ink stain. Hope this helps!

Spray it with hairspray before washing it.
From clothing?

I soak my clothing in milk with ink stains - the protein breaks down the ink
(it sometimes works)
use rubbing alcohol or if you don't have any, hairspray can work in a pinch--it is mostly alcohol anyway. good luck
There is a product that you can find in grocery, hardware, or home improvement stores (that contains cleaning supplies), called Thoro. It is a clear liquid solvent that breaks down the ink, but is not supposed to damage fabrics. If you are sensitive to chemicals, it's probably not a good idea to use it, though, as it smells pretty strong! Also, be sure to do a spot check on the thing with the stain somewhere inconspicuous first (like a hem or the lining) - sometimes the Thoro gets rid of the stain, but leaves a little "ring" behind, instead! I am usually very happy with the results I get from it, though, and a little goes a long way - I am still on the first bottle I bought, probably 10 years ago or so...

Anyway, hope this helps. Good luck!

Try spraying the fabric with hairspray. Then spray it with Shout. Wash on cold cycle then air dry. If the ink is on leather or vinyl just the hairspray should work.
