How do you get whiskey stains out of an antique wood table?

Question:

Answers:
Since that is a liquid stain there really is no way to get it out, since liquids like that get absorbed into the wood after a while. The only thing you can do is sand it hoping it didnt absorbe too deep and then re-stain it.

*Note to all pet owners with wood floors beware urine also soaks into wood and there is alot more volume of liquid in a pet then in a drink. If they pee alot and it sits your floors can be permanently ruined.

suck out the whiskey
if it has caused a white ring, get some cheap mayonaise and rub it in, you will be surprised how well this works.

good luck.
About the only finish that will be affected by whiskey, because it has alcohol, is shellac. Shellac is a film forming finish that is a solid that is dissolved in denatured alcohol and can be redissolved by alcohol too. To fix a stain, remove the stained finish with a white cloth and denatured alcohol and replace the shellac with one that is the same color that you are removing. Shellac can be purchased as flakes at woodworking supply stores in blond, garnet and orange. Some colors may be available premixed at the home center. The flakes must be dissolve in denatured alcohol, about 1 part flakes to 4 parts alcohol will give you a one pound cut, this may require a number of quick drying coats but will give you good control on when to stop. No need to sand between coats.
There is a product called Bees Wax. You can even try cig ashes rub it away.
You will have to refinish the table. Sorry.
