How much bleach to use?

Question:Hi, I'm cleaning my shower liner in the washing machine and I was wondering how much bleach do I use and do I use laundry soap, too? A mix? Thanks in advance. :)

Answers:
I've done that before and used whatever it would take for a small load in your machine. Mine is a front load washer and I'd use maybe 1/4 cup liquid soap and the same for the bleach. I've never had the bleach ruin the curtain. Hope this helps!

I would use 1/2 cup of each and throw a towel in with the liner, a white towel
only bleach needed. About 1 half cup should work, on a small load cycle
Same as for any load of laundry; be sure to soak it for a few minutes. If you don't have a presoak cyce, then leave the lid up so it won't spin. Put a laundry basket on top of the open washer so bleach water does not splash out and ruin
something . (I've learned THAT the hard way!)
I have had less than satisfactory results with bleach, if removing soap scum. Ammonia or white vinegar added to the wash water has yielded better results. If you are attempting to remove mildew, I'd say soaking the liner in a large bucket or even in the bathtub to which you've added a couple of cups of bleach may be more effective.
