How can I get set in crayon markings off of my linoleum floor?

Question:I've tried waterless hand solution, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, a gum eraser, a rubber eraser, baking soda and vinegar, WD-40 (it works on walls) and laundry soap. HELP!

Answers:
If I had this problem I'd try fingernail polish remover and if that didn't work I'd get out my straight razor and scrape the crayon makrings off. I would be mad at this point with all that you have done to get rid of the crayon markings.

If Mr. Clean Magic Eraser doesnt work - try a mix of Tide and water (nice paste solution) brushed on with a tooth brush. It worked on my hard wood floors last week at least! :)
goo gone! purchase at any walmart in the cleaning isle.
magic eraser by mr.clean it works on just about everything no chemicals needed ...for real
sound funny but use Brasso- that is what we used on marks on the floor when I was in the Military. :)
Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I have a 5 yr old.
finernail polish remover or paint thinner.
Eucalyptus Oil. Put on a cotton ball or cloth and rub off. 100% pure oil. not diluted with water.
goo-gone
Try Barkeepers Friend - you can buy it at the supermarket. Just rub it on and rinse well.
this may sound strange but you could try laying a towel over it and put an iron to it. it would melt the crayon so that you can clean it up.
I would try any kind of nut oil such as almond, or eucalyptus, tea tree, peppermint or orange (but you've tried orange I think). Tea tree oil would be the best bet. Be very careful and try hydrogen peroxide, or a cottonbud dipped in bleach. Ooh, be careful.
well from reading all the remarks, it seems that you have tried a lot of stuff that normally would work, if the vinyl seal was still good,

it sounds like it has bled through and stained deep, if so i'm not sure anything can get it out,

if its a small area can you use a throw rug to cover it,

or if its a large area, the only option would be to replace it,

i worked in a flooring store for a few years, so i know that not all of them have a very deep layer of vinyl on top of the paper backing, which makes them to stain easily,

and IF you have to replace it, and its a place you will live in for years to come, ( to make it worth the price) get the more expensive vinyl, check them out, look at the very edge of the vinyl and you can see how it is layered, and see the thickness of the paperbacking and the vinyl topping, the more vinyl the better and longer it will last,

oh i just thought of one more idea, since crayons is wax, and most vinyl flooring uses a wax finish, ( i cant remember if you said you tried this ) but get some wax remover, work a small area first (incase there is a lot of crayon) if that works then go over all of the crayon marks, following directions on the bottle, then get some flooring wax, and re-wax it,

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

if that wax job don't work, then the only solution left is buy more, i know its expensive to replace it, and you hate hearing that , but from my experience in the flooring business thats the best i can tell you,

hope this helps

Goof Off - in my opinion is better than goo gone, but it stinks really bad, so be sure to open a few windows~!
