No, unless it it hot wax then you could get some wax that will dry in some important locations and then possibly present a problem.

Best not to. If there is wax on your carpeting, cover the wax with a piece of paper (like printer paper), then heat up your iron, but not TOO hot! Iron the paper, and the wax should come out of the carpet and stick to the paper. Good luck!
If it is pieces of wax I don't see a reason not vaccum it.
The only thing that could harm it would be if it is hot wax.
It will go into the bag or container. If not hot.
If it is hot it could sure damage brushes and the parts that turn them.
