How to remove furniture polish from laminate flooring?

Question:My housekeeper cleaned my laminate floor (Pergo, QuickStep, etc.--looks like wood) with furniture polish. It is very difficult to remove. I called the manufacturer but they were not too helpful as they did not have this particular problem in their database. Any ideas what I can use to remove it without damaging the floor?

PS The housekeeper is no longer cleaning my house.

Answers:
laquer thinner works great to take almost anything off of laminate flooring. When I install it I mark it with sharpies for the cuts. Just a paper towel and a little laquer thinner will wipe it right off.

There are specific laminate floor cleaners (Home Depot, Kmart, Lowes, etc...) Good Luck. I have Mohawk Laminate wood flooring too and its a PAIN to keep smudge/water spot free!
Mix a little bit of Dawn dish washing liquid in very hot water. Dip your mop in the water and wring out as much water as possible. Mop the floor. You may want to set up a fan or turn on the ceiling fan, if you have one, to speed up the drying. A little water on the laminate will not hurt it, but don't get too much and get it dry as fast as possible. If Dawn doesn't take the furniture polish off the first time, mop it again. Just make sure not to get too much moisture on the floor. I think I would mop with vinegar and very hot water after mopping with Dawn, to help rinse off any detergent residue that may be left on the floor.
