How can you eliminate gasoline spill/odor from Car Rug?
Question:I was transporting gas for my lawn mower and the tank tipped over in the backseat floor of my car.
I have already removed the section of carpet I thought the spill occurred 16" X 12". Aside from removing all the carpet in the car any suggestions?

Odor ban is a good cleaner first, then need a good odor remover - I found the perfect product that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT carbon odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. It works so much better than all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just put a couple of these in your car and trunk. . I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying
oooo thats happened to be except with a motor scooter the gas leaked out they have this stuff at walmart in the automotive aisle its in a green and pink bottle not sure what its called but it works its about $7
Take and roll down the windows and give it some air.If you removed the section of carpet and it still smells then the oil base id the problem.Spray straight vinegar all over it,then let it set for a while.Then wipe it up and reapply it.Roll the windows up and the vinegar will eat up any odor.When it dries all the way,the odors will be gone..
Spread some coffee grounds over it..coffee will absorb the gas Oder.getting rid of the coffee Oder can be removed using Fabrize
