What is the difference between normal salt and dishwasher salt?
Question:
Answers:
Dishwasher salt IS like table salt, except that the granules are much larger and it has no added iodine. Whereas you could use dishwasher salt for cooking, table salt for the dishwasher is unsuitable because of the additives to keep it free-flowing and it is too fine. It would dissolve before it comes into action.
You wouldn't put dishwasher salt on your fish an chips.
I have never heard of DISHWASHER SALT. Do you mean Water Softner Salt?
Normal salt is Table Salt for consumption. Water Softner Salt softens the water in your house for those with 'hard water'.
Just as a tip, I get my "Dishwasher Salt" as "Water Softener Salt " in Homebase
