Can u clean a necklace with any household items?

Question:it got water on it and its just like a 40 buck tiffany's type necklace.. i have a sweet 16 to go to tonight and id like to wear it but i want it clean! lol any suggestions would help thanks!

You can dry polish it, which might be best. Just use a micro-weave shirt. For stones and such, I know dish soap makes them shine.
