Stove Exhaust Fan, what is the best way to clean it.?
Question:The filter/screen gets so greasy, Ive tried using an old toothbrush to clean it but it takes forever, any suggestions?

If you can remove it and soak it in Dawn and some degreaser (found in any $$$ store). Make sure the water is hot. You can also soak the metal filter as well.
If you can't remove the lay a towel just under the fan and use the same solutaion in a spray bottle. spary fan well and rinse with warm water. Also in a spray bottle.
If it fits, put it in the dishwasher. Run it thru its normal cycle with normal amounts of soap.
If you don't have a dishwasher (automatic), put it in the bathtub (or something that can hold it & be completely submerged) with shampoo (excellent on grease). Force up & down so water/soap goes thru the filter.
yea what they said..it has to be pulled apart as much as possible and if you dont have a proper grease cleanin product just use heaps of detergent
I always use an over cleaner
a long handled thin bottle brush
and then a spray bottle with water
