Beleave me you dont!. Throw them way! buy a new pair if you can its the feet that created the smell in the frist place get some athlete foot medicine use clean socks new shoes start fresh.dry feet well after you shower you probabl have a foot funguse.

Dr Schols foot powder is the only thing I've found It has a minty smell to it
Sprinkle baking soda in the shoes. Put the shoes in a plastic bag, and allow to sit overnight. The next day, dump out the baking soda. Repeat as necessary.
Remove the laces and open them up as much as you can. Stuff some fresh dryer sheets (like Bounce or Snuggle) into the toes, set them out in direct sunlight and let them air out all day
At one time, special odor-absorbing inserts were made for shoes. The inserts were made of some type of charcoal material, and the product was found along with other devices such as arch supports, heel inserts, etc. in the stores.

You might even try placing a few charcoal briquettes into the shoes to see if that will absorb the odor. Then proceed with the inserts and foot powder to control the odor.
Try putting them in the freezer for a day or so, But first put them in a ziploc. Heard about this trick on An Infomercial. The cold will kill alot of the stinky bacteria.
