What should I charge for "extra" maid service work, like washing windows, laundry, on top of my hourly rate?
Question:I'm still in the process of starting my own maid service and want to be fair.
Answers:
I would charge the same hourly rate...just add in the extra hours it takes you complete the added services.
I have always paid my maid "by the hour" no matter what they do.

My cleaner charges according to whats being done... $1.00 per window in and out, laundry 50 cents a load. Cleaning garage( sweeping) 3.00 Vacumn cars $1. Depends on youor area and the rate of income. Good Luck
She cleans the house 4 hours at $25. per hour.
Talk to some people that already do this and ask them how much they make.
Personally, I don't see that an extra charge above and beyond normal hourly rate is necessary. I do know some maids/housekeepers that have their hourly rates for straightforward housekeeping, and separate hourly rates for carpet cleaning, windows, etc. Also, if you get into construction cleaning, flat rates for houses work, and I know my friends do windows on those to make them sparkle for potential buyers. They charge a flat rate per house since there isn't any furniture inside, just dust and wipe down. About $150 per house.
Very few maid services provide window cleaning. On the days that you will perform these duties charge per window.Take and if it takes you 15 mins time add 1/2 of the usual charge for the hour. Then times that for all windows.
