What the best solution/product to clean grease off of kitchen appliances?
Question:
Answers:
I have tried all of the products listed but have found for removing grease from kitchen appliances and for cleaning out your sink and coffee pot urn, one of the best products is oven cleaner. For your stove top, cover your burners with aluminum foil then spray on the cleaner, let it sit for about five minutes and the grease will come right off with a slightly damp cloth. For your coffee urn, just spray the inside with oven cleaner, let sit for about five minutes and rinse with luke warm water, your coffee stains will just melt away. It works great on your stainless steel sinks as well.
i have found the best thing to get grease off is Bam...it works wonders
spray9 its industrial strength n jus so wonderful
get some stuff called Thunderblast. works great on everything. they should have it at wal mart.
Use a mixture of white vinegar, baking soda and water. Mix 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda in a spray bottle., Fill with water. Clean as usual, and, using a wet cloth, wipe to rinse.
The best I have ever found is Greased Lighting. I have been cleaning for more than 45 years. I fry quite a bit so I know about greasy stoves and counter tops. Great stuff. It is on the supper market shelf along with the other cleaning supplies.
I love either 409 or Fantastic for general grease on stove tops
or countertop, microwaves, etc.
These have been around for awhile, BUT they still work
better than the newer products!
As far as my stainless steel fridge I have found that
WD 40 is WONDERFUL to eliminate smudges,
grease, or fingerprints and shines BETTER
than the expensive products for Stainless Steel.
I just put some on a soft cloth and buff till it shines like
a mirror.
It will not allow dust or grease to collect
on the surface.
Try it, you won't be disappointed!
I love it!
i agree with most products above, but the 1 i use is the oven cleaner also,. i think its works the best on my greasy appliances stove etc..
Forget all of those store-bought products, Clair Voyant has it right with the WD-40. Also, paint thinner (the mineral spirits, not lacquer thinner!) costs much less than any 'kitchen cleaner' and readily & completely lifts old, accumulated grease. Isopropyl alcohol cleans up any mineral spirits residue left behind.
And stay the hell out of Wal-Mart, its 'buy everything from China and sell it cheaply' approach makes for a great American business success story but they're putting many small, local stores out of business, and it's ONE reason this country is swirling down the dumper.
DAWN AND 409, not mixed but 409 for the reallly mean grease. that is how we do it in the pro kitchens and they are safe!
