Best care for dark hardwood floors?

Question:We have brand new hardwood floors and a lot of settling construction dust. The floor is beautiful, but it shows EVERYTHING. I have tried the Swiffer Pads but it just seems to push the dirt around. Our Carpet Vacuum doesn't seem to get close enough to grab the dust, and I have heard you are not supposed to use water on the wood floors. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Answers:
Water will damage your floors, but, you have to clean them. Use a product made for wood with a very well rung out mop.
As long as the floors dry quickly they will be fine. I personally use a little bit of pine oil soap mixed with water. It works beautifully.
