Shrinking a linen shirt?

Question:My mom washed by mistake a 95% linen 5% spandex shirt in the washing machine with cold water. But it says on the shirt to hand wash in cold water. The shirt came out a lot larger than it originally was. Is there any way I can shrink it back to its original size??

As long as it's not a red or a dark color you can wash it in hot water and then dry it on high. Take it out immediatly and then DO NOT IRON. The iron flattens and stretches out your clothes. Hang it on a hanger immediatly after it comes out of the dryer. If it still isn't small enough you can repeat the process.
