Does anyone know how to get marker off of the wall?
Question:my 16 month old wrote on a painted wall with purple marker. just wondering if anyone knew how to get it off.
Answers:
try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser it worked for me...good luck
Try your local hardware store, they may have something.but don't mix chemicals together.
magic eraser that thing is awesome!
WELL IF ITS A PERMANENT MARKER THEN IT CANT COME OFF. JUST PAINT THE WALL WITH PAINT. GOOD LUCK....
If the other suggestions does not work you might try WD40 sprayed on cleaning towel then wipe the wall. Another item I might try would be hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide takes blood stains off I would think it would be good for stubborn stains.
those Magic Eraser sponges are incredible - they will BLOW YOUR MIND...seriously
With the same purple marker draw a line over one already on the wall. While wet, quickly wipe off the original mark with a soft clean cloth. Permanent markers are made to do this - they have a 'built in' remover. You may need to repeat this action if the mark is really dried on. Don't let the little one see you do this!! And good luck!
We have kids and I can tell you that the magic eraser is great. It gets all sorts of things off the walls. They even have a generic at Wal-Mart now. It's $3.00 cheaper than the original and works just as well.
Hair spray. Spray it heavily on a rag or sponge until it is very wet, then blot it on the mark and let it set a few minutes /wipe with a warm soapy rag. Repeat if necessary. If the mark is on a white wall I would just use a bleach Gel cleaner instead. (I worked for a cleaning company for several years and cleaned many walls with childrens art work on them.)For future reference...hairspray also removes ink marks from painted walls.
dont listen to them! rubbing alcohol will do it.
Mr. Clean Magic Erase pads... keep well stocked with these I have a
2 1/2 yr old Picasso and a 5 yr old Van Gogh in the makings and my walls are their artistic masterpeices
