Pulsing noise when washer emptying?
Question:i have an indesit WIA 111 washing machine that is 3 days old. When it starts to empty, the water pours out of the out let pipe normally then the washer starts to make a loudish pulsing noise as the water then pulses out! Is this normal or not? i dont want to call out an engineer if it is quite nomal! This is my first brand new washer and i may be getting paranoid but wondered if anyone has this make of washer and if the same happens. thanks

Yes it is normal. The pump in the machine that evacuates the water can be pulsed (to protect the pump) or steady. The steady ones are usually on the most expensive models.
I am not a person that is an "expert'. However, as a woman who has done many loads ot laundry, it sounds like it is normal. The washer is helping itself "pump" out the water. I hope this helps answer your question.
It's more than likely the mechanic of the machine settling and the pulse of the pump clearing out the water. You notice it is conjunction with the water coming out of the pipe so I think it's just the heartbeat of the pump. If it doesn't settle in a few washes or continues to make you crazy, call the place you got it from or the manufacturer, check on line it's faster, let them know what's going on and then if they say it's weird exchange the machine or have someone come out and look at it while it's still under warranty.
