What is the best way to remove motor oil from clothes?

Question:

Answers:
Soak it in cold water with detergent overnight

This will sound weird but it works. Oil based cleaners remove oil. Your local hardware store should carry a no-soap hand cleaner that removes oil from hands - it works on clothes as well. Rub the hand cleaner into the stain and let it sit for a few hours. Wash the item in the wash as is and let it air dry. Do not put the clothes in the dryer until you have removed the stain, otherwise, you will simply set the stain. If this doesn't work, and it should by all means, ask a hardware staff person - they should have something in the store that does the trick. Hope I've helped.
Era is a protein based detergent and is the best at getting out organic based stains. Put it on larger than the stain and let it sit for at least an hour. If the garment is wet, you can sometimes see it working. If you have already dried the item, the stain may be set. If it air dried, it may still be redeemable. Good Luck!
Dry cleaning. When I worked as a dry cleaning operations manager, we cleaned the local racing teams clothes. We washed them and dry cleaned them. Dry cleaning takes out the oils, washing takes out dirt and body odor.
Dawn dish washing detergent will remove oil from clothing even if the article of clothing has already been washed and dried. Squirt a little on the stain and let it set for a few minutes, then wash it in the washing machine as you normally would.
