dirty cooker tops, inside the oven, inside the microwave, inside the fridge does it have dried milk on the shelve dishes in sink in greasy water smelly toilet.Unmade beds dirty flooring dusty atmosphere.

depends on your dirt tolerance level. But I would say odor, above and beyond all else. You can surface clean to make the place look nice, but the smell can give it away. Also, a person might have a lot of clutter or need to dust, but there's no underlying odor so the house is generally clean.
Dishes in the sink with food on them.dirty clothes on the floor. If they let that happen, everything else is going to be dirty!
Look under the toilet seat.
Their yard and if their house stinks or they have roaches.
Either one or both of the following.
1. dirty dish towels
2. stains in the loo.
The floor is a dead giveaway. If the carpets need vacuuming or the kitchen floor needs sweeping, you know they aren't on top of things. Don't be too hard on unmopped floors though. You might be catching them on the day before they do that chore.
when you cant walk through a room without being knee high in trash!
Clutter! If you find tons of clutter on every table or shelf, they are a bad housekeeper. I'm not talking a few school papers or bills on top of the microwave. I mean stuff stacked everywhere. You cannot possibly clean with piles of crap lying about.
hard hunks of gunk on the table and counters
The inside of their cups are stained. & Under the rim of the loo for sure.
