Does anyone know any good cleaning tips?
Question:i am going to blitz my whole house today whilst my partner decorates the bedroom.
oh yeah and using napalm isnt a cleaning tip lol.

When I clean I do one room at a time.start with the easiest room first and clean it tottally except for the floors lite a candle when you done and then go to the next room and the next...until your done. Then go back thru and do your floors! You want to do your floors last because when you dust and wipe things off you get it on the floor..its just best to do it last. THe reason why i do one room at a time is because when you get one room done you feel like you accoplished something and that motivates you to do the rest of them...Where as if you tried to do it all at once.you would feel like you werent going anywhere.
****Take your trash can with you to every room, that eliminates a bunch of trips back and forth.*****
****Take a few minutes to change out loads of laundry while your cleaning that way you dont have so much to at once.****
*****Dont eat a large meal right before or while your cleaning that will make you lazy*****

Re skirting boards etc, wipe over with a dry duster first before washing, same principal with polishing furniture as its a lot less messy and easier..well i think so..Best of British i hate cleaning
White vinegar cleans almost anything - make sure you have a bottle of it handy!

if you ever get horrid smells on furniture or carpet, bi-carbonate of soda is good. leave for a good few hours n then hoover off. ideal if someone has been sick.

Bathroom: If you have a build up of mould in the corner of a windowsill or the corner of a bath and tiles, use a bit of lemon juice on a ball of cotton and leave it there for 24 hours and will break it down.
Before washing curtains steep them in cold water in the bath keep changing the water it would amaze you the dirt that comes out using this method. Good for large curtains.
I also like to clean one room at a time , and then go back through and mop and vaccum last. I love magic erasers, get a lot of marks out. Rubbing alcohol gets ink out. Rubbing alcohol can also clean windows and glass, as well as clear/white vinegar can. every so often i clean my vaccum out, i don't buy new filters, i clean my and let them dry overnight, have not had any problems! put ice in garbage disposal to keep blades sharp, use white vinegar with an empty load in dishwasher to clean it. I also clean my washer and dryer out, in the inside, wipe them out. It is great how so much **** will stick in your washer!
