I have white tshirts that have been in boxes in our attic that have yellowed.?
Question:I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to get them white again without using bleach -- as there are pictures on them. I've used the blueing agent, but have found blue splotches on clothes afterward.
Thanks!

Dont laugh this will work. Boil them for 45mins - hour with detergent. Just keep an eye on them. Good luck.
Buy some new ones.
Try Oxyclean. I have whitened vintage clothing sucessfully with it and no harm to the material or other colors on the material.
Try some Oxy-Clean. It is not bleach, it is an optical brightener that causes the fabric to reflect more light causing the fabric to look whiter and brighter.
However, it may not work because it is possible the yellowing is due to fiber damage. Are the shirts cotton? Cotton fiber and fabric, when it begins to deteriorate, it turns yellow. The damage may already be done and it will be irreversible.
Fill your washer with warm water and 6 cups of white vinegar, and let them soak overnight. Then rinse Now wash them as you usually do. You can add bleach if they are all white.
RIT dye company has a couple of products that would work. They have a color remover that will take out the rest of the blueing. It could well take out he yellow as well. If not, use their whitening agent, and that will clear the rest of it.
Note, if you have a large capacity washer, you will need to use two boxes of each.
Remember to wash the items between each treatment.
