Best way of cleaning stickers off bottom of shoes?

Question:Does anyone have any magic tricks for removing the sticky from the bottom of shoes once youve peeled the labels off? Ive tried baby wipes and nail varnish remover, but nothings shifting it!

Answers:
I was told many years ago that an aerosol spray works wonders and certainly has for the items I have wanted to remover. Apparently they used to use it in shops when prices increased and labels were altered!! Any spray works - furniture, fly killer, hair spray. Hope it works for you.
