How to get melted foil off my oven floor!?

Question:My husband put foil on the bottom floor of our oven while baking a lasagna (at 400 degrees) and it actually melted and I can't get it off. Scraping isn't working. It smells when the oven is on and I don't know how to fix it. Can't believe it happened in the first place! Help!

Answers:
Perhaps you could spray some oven cleaner on the foil let it soak an hour or so and see if that helps. Good Luck! =)

Foil doesn't melt. It sticks to things. Use the Easy Off.
that was the same thing that happened 2 some plastic that i accidentally placed on top of my oven, though, it came off when i scraped it off. try goo gone, that might work.
Try oven cleaner let sit for about an hour and elbow grease!
use oven cleaner but spray it on heavy and let it sit over night it works better if u let it sit overnight leaving it on for only a few hours does'nt give it time to work
The foil is OK as long as it is heavy duty, I put it in mine, However you have to get the bottom very clean , If not what ever food is left on will stick to the foil. good luck
