Honey spilled on a shelf in my pantry. How to clean? It has dried somewhat and is sticky?

Question:Don't want the anties to get to it. Thanks!

Answers:
Use a damp cloth and place it to soak on top of mess, then use wet cloth to scrub. Repeat as necessary. Use shelf paper to avoid future problems.

Hot, soapy water and some elbow grease. It will soften as you clean it.
The way I have gotten crusted sugar and honey off shelves is to get a fairly damp paper towel or cloth and set it on the mess until it starts to loosen up. If it is a significant spill I sometimes repeat the process. It has always worked for me and I have had some spills go unchecked for a LONG TIME because no one informed me of them!
Cover the sticky stain with hot water, leave it for a few minutes, then clean it up- it should be gone.
Good luck!
