How do I remove hair dye stains from the sink & bathtub?
Question:Its seems like normal cleaning products dont remove these tough stains!
Answers:
i just got some hair dye on a bellis white toilet seat, and i tried everything from rubbing alcohol to simple green and s p i c & span... nothing worked. i even tried a sponge with dish soap! arghhh. a few minutes ago, i tried white distilled vinegar, but so far still no luck. next time i'm at the store, i'll buy some softscrub and a bottle of bleach...
i guess in your situation it all depends upon the porousness of your sink/tub... hope one of these concoctions works for you!
if its a porious surface .. they are in there for life . i used Comet or Ajax and scrubbed it like crazy
Oh man, I died my hair once, and got some on the toilet lid thing... NOTHING would take it off... lol
So yeah, now I just have a cover thing on it.
i use rubbing alcohol
bleach works for me
Try some of the different type of magic blocks for bathrooms (there the ones where u wet them and then scrub) They usally work for me.
I used bleach, just pour all around the bath, leave for 10 minutes then rinse.
Dye
If dye transfers from a non-colorfast item during washing, immediately bleach discolored items. Repeat as necessary BEFORE drying. On whites use color remover. CAUTION: Do not use color remover in washer, or around washer and dryer as it may damage the finish
Acetone, commonly found in NAIL POLISH REMOVER, works just fine. Works every time for me.
I agree with superduped. Just use comet and a sponge and start scrubbing!
