How can I get rid of these green stains in the armpit area of my vests, white T-Shirts?And what is it caused by
Question:It's weird, it's only ever since I started living on my own(away from my parents) they appeared. I must be doing something wrong with the washing...
Answers:
Mom knows best give her a call and tell her you love the way she did your laundry. She will get a kick out of it and you may just learn the best way to do your laundry.
its casused by deodorant mixed with sweat. you can probably get it off with a good laundry detergent. let it soak before you put it in the wash though
You want to use BLEACH with your wash.
Wash white clothes seperately?
Don't MIX them all together.
Cleaners use chemicals and sometimes these get into your other clothes.
Go to Wal-Mart and get some BLEACH
GOOD LUCK! :-)
Sweat and deoderant. Throw them away and get new ones. You may try and pretreat the pits of your shirts before you wash them. Maybe some Shout will take it out of the old ones.
I also experienced this.. i tried to remove the stains but no mater what i do it just won't get off.. i just changed my deodo brand and bought a milder one...
did you change your type of deoderant? maybe your mom uses a different detergent. i swear by clorox and clorox 2 for colors.
Sweat and deo. :) Every now and then, wash the whites with some bleach. Chlorox has a bleach that's especially safe for clothing--it comes in a small, white bottle (instead of those huge bleach bottles). It's not as harsh as most bleach. I get that problem with my white t-shirts and tanks, and that's what fixes it. You can use it with your sheets, too, to keep them extra-white. Colors usually don't show as much armpit stains as whites, but if they do, don't use the same bleach that you use with whites. There's a special bleach (Chlorox, once again, but this time in a blue bottle) that's especially for colors. In fact, it's good to use whenever you wash colors, because it will help them stay bright. And it's great for getting stains out, so if you have a particularly bad sweat stain, soak the area in this Chlorox bleach for colors before you wash it. Works like magic! Here are pics of those types of bleach, so you'll know what they look like (they're sold at Walmart and just about everywhere else):

Try mixing laundry detergent with a little vinegar and scrubbing with an old toothbrush, then wash as you normally would.
