My washer keeps putting holes in our clothes, what (aside from getting a new one) can I do to eliminate this?

Question:p.s . we own a maytag neptune upright washer it is about 4 years old.

Answers:
Call a serviceman. i used to service the older ones and this is a very rare problem. The tub needs to be pulled and some tests run.

you may want to check the drum, something might have gone partway into one of the wholes and the clothes might be catching on it.
W3LL...IDK...TRY FIGURIN OUT DA PROBLEM OR ASK SUM1 2 COME CHECK IT.OR DA LAST RESORT IS 2 BUY A NEW 1
i would suggest instead of doing 1 or 2 big loads, do 3 or 4 smaller loads. maybe its creating holes because the clothes are too tight in there.
Look for sharp edges inside the wash tub. Also check out the agitator. Chances are it has a nick on one of the fins.
why are you asking me i have no idea about washers
