Best way to get the stain out is to pour white wine over the stain and blot with kitchen towel. You do the same for red wine stains. Once you have lifted the juice stain out , with cold water and a sponge wash the carpet.
To prevent juice from staining your carpets, keep a container of diaper wipes handy. As soon as the juice is spilled, blot with a paper towel, then use the diaper wipe to remove the rest of the mess. The gentle amount of soap in the wipes and the tecxture that they are made with are great for quick clean ups on carpet as well as children. :)
The only thing you can do is dye the carpet the same color as the cranberry juice....because most cranberry juice has dye in it. If you drop a red hot dog on the carpet, same principle if the stain dries in, you are out of luck
