What should I clean first?

Question:My bedroom which when I go in it I just want to go back to sleep or the bathroom which is a lot of work (scrubbing tiles in the shower and all) but it will get done?

Answers:
Tackle the bathroom first. Once it is clean the rest of your work is easy.

You need a cleaning routine! The bathroom 1st because it is the source of more germs & bacteria. If you leave it dirty you could spread the germs into your room which means you get sick or now you will have to clean your room more deeply. The bathroom also because any potential guests could see it. Guests are less likely to see your room.
When i have a tough job ahead of me.like cleaning my daughters room, this is what i do.start by removing all the laundry, put it in a basket and takeit out of the room.
then pick up all toys, put them in a tub and take them out of the room.
then pick up all garbage and papers.
by now the floor should be pretty cleaned off. there will be most likely some shoes and odds and ends that will need to be put away, but that wont take too long.

then move on to the tops of the desk, dresser or table. clean and organize them one by one.

the last thing to do is make the bed, bring back in the toy box and you should be set.

good luck
Instead of viewing it as just 2 options, break it down to smaller tasks... for instance:
1. folding/hanging clothes
2. make bed
3. run vacuum
4. bathroom floor
5. toilet
6. shower tiles
7. tub

this way, your tasks become much more manageable and you can feel good when you accomplish something, even if it isn't the whole room!

PS. I used to feel the way you described about just wanting to crawl into bed. Turns out I was suffering from clinical depression. I would suggest calling your doctor or someone you trust to recommend a psychiatrist/therapist that can help you get out of this hole with therapy, meds or both. I felt embarrassed and frustrated at first, but given the chance to do it over -- i would have gone to therapy years earlier! Hope this helps!
This is the easy way out, Set your alarm clock to go off in 15 , min´s time, see how much you can get done in this amount off time, trust me you will be surprised just how much you can achieve, Never take things back to their rightful places until you have finished what you are doing,. Ready ? set the clock. All dirty clothes in a pile next to the bedroom door. All clean clothes to the closet, jumper´s, jeans, tops, belts, handbags all to the closet, don´t forget the shoes under the bed. Stop. If you think you have had enough for today , then stop , if you think you would rather carry on , then do the same again set the clock for another 15 min´s . Just remember what ever you decide, reward yourself . Even if you don´t finish all. read a magazine, phone a friend even watch TV. 15,min´s here and there makes a big difference. try for yourself
A long time ago a neighbor suggested getting a garbage bag and once a week go through place and fill it up...you would be suprised!
