How do i clean a dirty white fitted hat without damaging it?

If it is wool the baking soda will work, make a paste and gently rub in and allow to dry. Most of it will just fall off. Also just dry baking soda will work also.You could use carpet cleaner if you have a form for your hat, Vacuum to remove all the soda or carpet cleaner. Most cleaners will not do hats. If there is a western wear or up scale mens clothing store near you call and ask where they send their hats out to be cleaned.
My best bet is take it to the cleaners, they'll only charge about 8 dollars and thats cheaper than the stuff that you'll buy at the store that wont even clean it well.
some warm water in the sink with a tooth brush and laundry detergent wet the tooth brush and dip it into the detergent and scrub away and then when your all finished and it looks like the dirt has gone after scrubbing rinse with cold water and then hang
I wash my caps in the dishwasher. They sell little hat cages for them so the brim doesn't get messed up. This works well for me.
If you don't feel like buying anything, I would make a paste from either dishwasher detergent and water or baking soda and water and scrub it into the hat with an old toothbrush.

I use the dishwasher with a hatform.you can get them at walmart and target, but you can also use a bowl inside the hat and a small colander over the top. I soak the really dirty ones in some Oxi Clean powder and water and then dump the solution in the dishwasher as it begins to wash along with the dishwasher soap. They come really clean. even the sweat ring. :)
the dishwasher is your best bet, then hang to dry.
